Philippe Coutinho Correira was born on the 12th of June, 1992 in Rio de Janeiro,Brazil, into the family of Ze Carlos (father) and Dona Esmeralda (mother). His family was a middle class family that depended on a low income pay to survive. Initially, Phillippe Coutinho used to be timid, he always preferred to watch his brother and his peers play football while he sat and watch, even though he had deep love for football. With time he started practicing on his own, always jiggling with the ball, and thus impressed his friend’s grandmother who persuaded his father to enroll him in a nearby academy where he can improve his skill in football.
Coutinho began his youth career at Vasco da Gama, in 1999,where he impressed his coaches with his eye catching performances. He later moved to Internationale de Milan on a permanent dealin 2008 for a reported fee of £3 million, before he was loaned back to his former club Vasco da Gama. Philippe Coutinho made his first appearance for Inter Milan in 2010 after returning from a successful loan spell at his parent club. In 2012, he joined Spanish club Espanyol on loan, before he was bought by English club Liverpool permanently the following season.
He thrive at Liverpool and was named PFA Team of the Year in 2015.
